January 1st 2019:

Jared Clawson has made history earning MVP Honors in a losing effort in The Championship Game of Virginia Prep's Classic as Edison fell to Tallwood 76 - 62! This is the first time The MVP Award has been earned by a player on the losing team. Jared scored 36 points on 9 of 22 shooting from the field, 7 of 9 from 3 and 11 of 12 from the free throw line! Jared has been playing with an ankle injury most of the season and is just starting to get back to 100%, it's been a pleasure to watch his growth from 6th grade till now and be able to assist him in his basketball development. I'm looking forward to a strong finish to his junior year!

2017-2018 All-NOVA sophomore boys teams

FIRST TEAM

Jared Clawson, EdisonLightning-quick point guard always seemed to be able to score right out of the gate for the 21-win Eagles. Averaged over 12 points a game and was often best against tougher competition. Hit 50 three-pointers on the year and hit his free throws at around an 80% clip. A constant threat to get a steal on defense and take it coast-to-coast.

Febuary 22nd 2018:

Edison boys advance

In the second game of a home doubleheader, the Edison boys team edged Stone Bridge, 65-51, to earn a spot in the Virginia 5C regional final and a guarantedd trip to the state playoffs.

In a defensive battle, the Eaglees led by eight at halftime and fought to hold on to a slim lead for much of the second half. An acrobatic and-one layup by sophomore guard Jared Clawson put the Eagles up 10 with three minutes remaining.

2017-2018 All-NOVA sophomore girls teams

FIRST TEAM

Charlotte Jewell, EdisonTough as nails point guard who was only underclassman voted to National District first team. Solid ball-handler who can also hit the three, although doesn’t forget defense is what makes her team great. Can play comfortably off the ball as well. Seems to relish big game situations and kept her team in the hunt when it struggled early against powerful Princess Anne in the state final. Recently received an offer to Old Dominion. Part of an amazing Eagles sophomore class that also includes Bri Johns and CiCi Harris, both strongly considered for these teams.

CONGRADULATIONS TO SP8 BALL TRAINING'S FIRST ALL-STATE PLAYER CHARLOTTE JEWELL!

I met Charlotte when she was in the 7th grade at Lee District Rec Center. I was working out with my son and noticed her watching us. After we finished she came up to me and asked me to play one on one which I found very impressive! We started talking about training and I was amazed at her knowledge of the game and the passion she had for it. It's truely been an honor to assist her in developing her basketball skills and watch her growth over the years. She's been a day one starter at Edison High School, the top public school girls basketball program in Northern Virginia. And not only is Charlotte a Star Basketball Player she's also a straight A student in advanced\honors courses! On and off the court sky's the limit for this Jewell, congradulations Charlotte! I'm very proud of you!

Raven spent very little if any time commiserating the loss. Instead she was back in the gym training and getting prepared for her AAU Season with Cardinal Basketball.

Over the course of the season Raven showed a unmatched drive for ball as one of the teams top rebounders and defensive players! Her energetic hustle was also shown on the offensive side of the ball where she scored numerous offensive rebound stick backs baskets. These talents have earned her the nick name "Double-Double" for often posting at least 10 points and 10 rebounds in her games.
